Iron Crown Enterprises has launched HARP Steampunk, bringing a highly granular, alternative-history sourcebook to the High Adventure Role Playing system. The book has debuted simultaneously in digital format worldwide and as a physical print edition premiering at Gen Con.

Early sales indicators show immediate momentum, with DriveThruRPG tracking the title as the current most popular book by veteran game designer Phil Masters.
The sourcebook adapts the core mechanics of the HARP system to historical melodrama, weird science, and retro-science fiction inspired by the likes of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. It provides 12 new steampunk professions, including the Detective, Doctor, and Engineer, along with mechanical guidelines for clockwork automata, steam-driven creations, and mystical options such as Akashic Reading. The text is structured to allow gaming groups to adjust their settings modularly, from realistic Victorian technology to epic steam tech and electrical miracles.
Phil Masters, the author behind the project, is a prominent industry expert in historical and speculative genre emulation, known for his definitive past work on titles such as GURPS Steampunk and GURPS Castle Falkenstein. This latest supplement marks a significant milestone for Iron Crown Enterprises’ release calendar, expanding the HARP rules framework into a distinct new aesthetic space.
The publication operates strictly as a genre sourcebook, meaning players will require either the HARP Fantasy or HARP SF core rulebooks to fully utilise the new material. The digital version is available now on DriveThruRPG for $20.00, while physical print copies are distributed directly through Iron Crown Enterprises’ fulfilment channels and event presence.
