Author Andy Weir (best known for titles such as The Martian and Project Hail Mary) is making a return to comics with a new story called Access, drawn by Lee Townsend for the upcoming Parallel Truths anthology currently on Kickstarter.
Parallel Truths is a 248-page graphic novel anthology that’s being produced by Tony Lee and Rob Napton via Author Nation – which we here at Geek Native think is pretty damn cool.
Here’s the official description:
What If Another Version of Your Life Existed Somewhere Else?
A better one.
A worse one.
A deadlier one.
Parallel Truths brings together twelve writers and fifteen artists to answer this question in one oversized multi-genre graphic novel anthology. Presented by the team behind Author Nation and Reader Nation and featuring some of today’s most imaginative creators, each story opens a door to a different world.
Packed full of original artwork, the anthology will feature also feature 12 original stories from authors such as Eloisa James, JN Chaney, Lenore Ashwood, Connie Brockway, Paul Ian Cross, Morgan A. Drake, Donovan Scherer, Lydia Sherrer, David Wergutz and Tony Lee.

The list of artists is just as impressive, with many having previously worked on titles such as X-Men, Hellblazer, Star Wars and Judge Dredd.
The list includes the likes of Javier S. Aranda, Hector Barros, Stephen Baskerville, Marika Cresta, Nelson Daniel, Sam Hart, Maan House, Giada Marchisio, Andrea Mutti, Lydia Rasero, John Ridgway, Werner Sanchez, Alvaro Sarraseca, Ellie Wright and Lee Townsend.

I’m personally quite excited about the Andy Weir story, called ACCESS – simply because I’m a fan of Weir in general, despite never having read any of his comics/graphic novels.
ACCESS is about a young girl with a superhuman ability to fit in wherever she doesn’t belong. It is classic Weir, exploring themes of being an outsider, leading to an unforgettable ending.
There are four reward tiers to choose from if you want to back this particular Kickstarter, and you can learn more by visiting the official link. There’s only six days to go, so don’t miss out if you want to support this really special anthology and get your hands on it first.
