Hello and welcome home. This is Audio EXP, the weekly podcast from Geek Native. I am your host, Girdy. If things sound a little more musical this week, it is because I actually remembered to put the intro music at the start of the episode. Apologies for the completely silent, slightly awkward opening to episode 326. We are back on track now and have a fantastic week of tabletop news to cover.

Before we get into the main headlines, I want to wrap up our March RPG Publisher Spotlight. As you might recall, Open Sesame Games won the community vote. Unfortunately, we did not manage to land an interview with them this month.
However, we still wanted to celebrate their fantastic work, so we have written a deep dive feature instead. Open Sesame Games is a fascinating French-American publisher doing incredible work in both roleplaying games and board games.
They are perhaps best known right now for their English adaptation of Écryme, a deeply imaginative dystopian steampunk game set in a world submerged by a corrosive, acidic ocean. You can check out our spotlight on Open Sesame Games and the acidic oceans of Écryme over on the site right now.
Looking ahead, it is time to decide who will take the spotlight for April. The candidate publishers this month are:

Onto the news, and we start with a massive confirmation from Games Workshop. After much speculation, Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition is officially confirmed. This new iteration is promising to bring a much grittier, closer-range era to the tabletop. It signals a major mechanical shift away from the sprawling, long-range gunlines that have dominated recent metas, moving towards brutal, close-quarters engagements. This completely changes the tactical landscape for wargamers, and it will be fascinating to see how armies have to adapt to survive in this new edition.
Speaking of changing landscapes, we have a fascinating look at an upcoming video game adaptation. We explored why The Division roleplaying game is a story of human resilience beyond the gunplay. It is very easy to look at the Tom Clancy franchise and expect a pure tactical shooter, but this tabletop adaptation is leaning heavily into the community-building and survival aspects of restoring society in a post-pandemic world. It tasks players with repairing infrastructure and maintaining hope, offering a surprisingly deep narrative experience beyond just firefights.
Our most popular story on Geek Native this week also bridges the gap between different media. A new Cyberpunk Red reprint and free DLC are bridging the gap to Edgerunners season two. With the anime sequel generating massive hype, R. Talsorian Games is ensuring tabletop players have plenty of fresh material to keep their crews running the neon-lit streets of Night City. The free DLC is a fantastic move to keep the community engaged while they wait for the next chapter of the animated series.
For those who prefer a darker, more mythological setting, the Fomoria roleplaying game is bringing epic folk horror to the strata. This project takes inspiration from ancient Celtic myths and weaves them into a terrifying, atmospheric experience that goes far beyond traditional fantasy tropes.
If you enjoy psychological tension at the table, keep an eye out for a highly unique upcoming project. Death is certain in Titus Villanueva III’s upcoming social deduction roleplaying game. Blending the paranoia of games like Mafia or Werewolf with traditional tabletop mechanics, it promises to test the trust of any gaming group and turn your friends into suspects.
Moving from the tabletop to the screen, we have a comprehensive guide to everything in Crunchyroll’s Spring 2026 lineup. From Hiromu Arakawa’s latest supernatural daemons to cosy witches, the new season is packed with diverse anime offerings to keep you entertained between gaming sessions.
However, the digital comic space is facing some significant controversy. GlobalComix has raised 13 million dollars and pivoted to artificial intelligence, as the legacy of MangaRock resurfaces. This massive funding round has brought intense scrutiny, especially regarding the platform’s new focus on AI translation and moderation, coupled with uncomfortable reminders of the founders’ history with the notorious piracy app MangaRock.
In retail news, it is the end of an era for a well-known merchandise hub. Just Geek is closing its storefront as Yellow Bulldog pivots to a brand first strategy. This reflects the ongoing challenges in the geek commerce sector, as companies restructure how they reach consumers directly in a highly competitive market.
Finally, we wrap up this week with two spectacular digital bundles. If you enjoy cosmic dread and investigative mechanics, the Trail of Cthulhu Megabundle gathers years of GUMSHOE investigations into one massive collection. Alternatively, if you want to wield divine power, you can embrace modern godhood with the Scion 2e Origin bundle. Both are available right now and offer incredible value to stock your digital library.
That is it for this week. Thanks for listening to Audio EXP. For all the links and full stories, head over to Geek Native. Until next week, stay geeky.
