Classic horror fans will rejoice when they learn James Gunn‘s sci-fi comedy horror Slither is returning for a sparkly new 4k release – and a slimy new trailer has just dropped from Vertigo Releasing.
Gunn’s feature debut will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a UK cinema release next month, giving fans of the cult classic – along with newcomers to the film – another change to see it on the big screen.
Follow the story of slimey mayhem and carnage which sees “an extraterrestrial parasite infect the citizens of a town with the intent of devouring all life forms on Earth, leaving it up to the town sheriff (Nathan Fillion) and a local woman (Elizabeth Banks) to put an end to the monster.”
Slither, originally shot on 35mm film, has been restored and the new transfer approved both by Gunn and cinematographer Gregory Middleton for a major visual upgrade to be presented in 4kK for the first time.
