Premium collectable brand Mondo has unveiled the latest addition to its X-Men ’97 1/6 scale line: Ororo Munroe, the Mistress of the Elements, Storm. This is a timed edition release, with the pre-order window set to close sharply at 10:59 AM CT on 7th November.

The new figure continues the aesthetic established by previous releases in the series, such as the X-Men ’97 Magneto figure Geek Native reported on earlier this year. The Storm collectable draws inspiration from her appearances in both the classic X-Men: The Animated Series and its successful 2024 continuation, X-Men ’97.
Standing at 11.75 inches, the figure is constructed from PVC and ABS. The main draw for collectors will be the extensive range of accessories included, allowing for numerous display options. The figure comes with five different portraits: Classic Neutral, Classic Power, Classic Flowing Hair, ’97 Neutral, and a ’97 Power Portrait complete with lightning eye attachments.
Accessory options are generous, featuring four pairs of standard hands, a pair of “Lightning Bolt Hands,” and a pair of hands holding a plant, referencing her elemental abilities. The figure also includes her Morlock fighting staff, which comes with its own lightning attachment. Collectors can also choose between a sculpted cape attachment and a fabric cape. A figure base and stand are included for display.
A large team collaborated on creating the impressive figure. The concept design and sculpt are credited to Alex Brewer, with paint by Tom Rozejowski and Hilary Arce. Tim Hanson handled the cut and sew elements, while packaging was designed by Jordan Christianson with art from Dan Veesenmeyer. Raúl Barrero provided photography, and Hector Arce served as Art Director.
Alongside the 1/6 scale figure, Mondo has also released a new screen-printed Storm poster and a Storm enamel pin, which are available separately.
The X-Men ’97 Animated Storm 1/6 Scale Figure is available for pre-order directly from Mondo’s online store until the 7th November deadline.
