Board game publisher Devir, known for titles like the popular dice-worker placement game The White Castle, is expanding its English-language offerings into the tabletop roleplaying space. The company has announced a Backerkit crowdfunding campaign to bring two Spanish-designed TTRPGs, Dracula vs. Hitler and Chaos & Chrome, to a wider audience.

The project marks a rare opportunity for English-speaking gamers to experience RPGs originally designed in Spain. Both games will be presented as distinct 80-page books and are slated to launch on Backerkit in October 2025.
The first title, Dracula vs. Hitler, offers a high-concept pulp adventure. Players take on the roles of classic monsters, such as Dracula and the Werewolf, who are disguised as 1940s film stars. They use the cover of movie location shoots across Europe to covertly hunt down and eliminate Nazis using their supernatural abilities.
The second game, Chaos & Chrome, shifts gears into a post-apocalyptic setting heavily inspired by films like Mad Max. In this world, players are members of rival gangs fighting over what little resources remain. The gameplay promises a focus on fast cars, cobbled-together weaponry, and wildly eccentric characters.
Both TTRPGs are powered by the Roleína system, designed by Roberto Alhambra for quick-start, low-preparation sessions. The system aims to provide engaging roleplaying experiences in short bursts of two to three hours. The books will include frameworks for GMs to develop scenarios on the fly, fast character generation rules, and pre-written adventures to get groups started immediately.
Roberto Alhambra expressed his excitement about the project. In a statement, he said,
For me, roleplaying games have always been about creating and sharing together. Seeing our games cross borders and reach new players is a dream come true. Translating our games into English goes beyond just changing the language, it’s about sharing creativity with different gaming communities.”
Devir, which celebrates its 25th anniversary of publishing board games in 2025, has a significant presence with offices in nine countries. While headquartered in Barcelona, its North American operations are based in Orlando. The upcoming crowdfunding campaign will include stretch goals and a pledge level specifically for retailers. A landing page is already available on Backerkit for those who wish to be notified of the launch.
