Now we’re officially into Spooktober, be prepared for lots of fun treats coming your way… including R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead!
This young-adult horror looks like an ideal Halloween watch to add to your list, and it’ll be free to watch on Tubi – premiering on the 17th October.
Pumpkinhead focuses on the story of Sam, who thinks that moving to a small town with his family is basically the end of the world… and maybe it is when things take a turn and his brother Finn mysteriously disappears! Even weirder, nobody – including their mother – remembers Finn even existing. That part feels very r/Glitch-in-the-Matrix!
According to the official description: “Sam, his friend Becka, and Rusty, the town’s most eccentric outcast, must stop a harvest curse before Finn is lost forever.”

As someone who grew up reading R.L. Stine (at least, before I quickly graduated to Point Horror and then Stephen King), this looks like a lot of fun for young adults.
Pumpkinhead was written and directed by Jem Garrard, and the cast includes Bean Reid, Adeline Lo, Kevin McNulty, Bob Frazer, Matty Finochio, and Seth Isaac Johnson.
The film will premiere exclusively on Tubi on 17th October.
