A star-studded cast of tabletop roleplaying talent has been assembled for Push the Roll with Ross Bryant, a new improvised actual play podcast using the popular horror TTRPG, Call of Cthulhu.

The series is hosted by Ross Bryant, known for his work on Dropout TV and The Glass Cannon Network, and is a collaboration between the ENnie-winning producers of Ain’t Slayed Nobody and the Rusty Quill Network, home to the global hit The Magnus Archives.
The new series mixes comedy, cosmic horror, and quick-thinking improv. While gameplay episodes start on September 10th, two intro episodes are already out to help new listeners get started. These primers make the show easy to jump into, whether you’re a longtime gamer or just curious about actual play podcasts.
A significant part of the show is allowing the audience to help shape the story. Patreon supporters can send in creative episode titles, and one is picked at random to kick off each story. Halfway through, there’s a surprise twist.
Bryant then ‘pushes the roll’ by adding a second random title, so the players have to react to a sudden, unexpected plot change right as it happens.
Corbin Cupp, player and show producer, said in a statement,
In Push The Roll our fans get to spark the premise, and we discover the story together at the table. It’s playful, it’s tense, and really celebrates what we love about Call of Cthulhu games.”
Joining Bryant throughout the season is an impressive roster of guests from across the TTRPG and acting worlds, including Brennan Lee Mulligan (Dimension 20), Ashly Burch (Mythic Quest), Becca Scott (Good Time Society), Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby-Doo), Colton Dunn (Superstore), Abubakar Salim (Raised by Wolves), Josephine McAdam (The LA by Night), Ify Nwadiwe, Mark Meer (Mass Effect), Rekha Shankar, and Vic Michaelis.
Each story arc lasts three episodes, so you can jump in anytime without needing to catch up on a lot of backstory. If you’re new to the tabletop game behind the show, here’s what you need to know: Call of Cthulhu is an award-winning TTRPG focused on ordinary people confronting the terrifying and sanity-bending horrors of the Cthulhu Mythos. Players take on the roles of investigators, slowly uncovering grim secrets that threaten the fabric of reality.
The show is produced by Ain’t Slayed Nobody, a podcast network that won a Gold ENNIE award for Best Podcast in 2022 and is known for its cinematic audio drama approach to actual play. Distribution is handled by the RQ Network, which boasts over 600 million downloads across its shows and is the creative force behind The Magnus Archives, one of the world’s most successful horror podcasts.
You can listen to Push the Roll with Ross Bryant now on all major podcast platforms. Gameplay episodes begin September 10th.
