Crysis 2 story trailer

I did not play Crysis but I’ve heard a lot about it. I heard two things; it destroys your machine and if you survive that then it is a lot of fun.

The game seems to be a bit of a cross between Mass Effect and Borderlands in style. Let me justify that; there’s a story line to Crysis 2 that’s similar to Mass Effect but there’s not much in the way of scene-to-scene roleplaying. In that sense it’s more of a Borderlands shooter.

That’s my speculation. Here’s the “Crysis 2 story trailer” which does a much better job than painting the picture than I can.

The question is – what do you think? Is Crysis 2 just a fancy but brainless shooter that doesn’t deserve attention from geek natives? Or is this one of those games like Borderlands or Halo that deserves some blog time? Anyone going to splash out on the Crysis 2 Nano pack?
