I’m playing in a TTRPG, and I’m not sure the characters aren’t dreaming. Has that happened to you?
This short film is a gripping, albeit perplexing, narrative that delves into themes of wealth, capture, and the ambiguity of reality.
The story opens with a bold claim from its narrator: having successfully hacked a central bank and funnelled a staggering $100 million into a hidden account.
The initial triumph, however, is short-lived. The plot quickly escalates as the narrator is apprehended and subjected to harsh interrogation methods, presumably to force the disclosure of the account’s location.
This intense sequence abruptly shifts as the narrator awakens in the opulence of a hotel suite, casting doubt on the preceding events and suggesting they may have been merely a distressing nightmare.
From this point, the video weaves a disorienting tapestry, juxtaposing scenes of the narrator’s apparent imprisonment and suffering with contrasting sequences depicting a life of luxury and freedom. This intentional back-and-forth blurs the distinction between the nightmare and a potential dream-like reality, leaving viewers questioning the narrator’s circumstances.

The narrative tension builds over what is described as three years, culminating in the narrator seemingly reaching a point of surrender before a final awakening offers a glimpse of potential freedom, though the ultimate reality remains ambiguous.
The animator, Marco Pav1, says he’s an animation producer for Disney, Universal, Sony, Warner, Netflix, MTV and Adult Swim. Credible claims.
