The second-ever Nonbinary Tabletop Awards have concluded. Snowbright Studios, who set up the program to uplift and celebrate nonbinary representation in tabletop games, has announced the winners.
The winners are:
- CONVICT-ION: W.H. Arthur
- Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast: Jay Dragon & M Veselak
- Nectar: Kay Marlow Allen

W.H. Arthur is a neurodivergent British East Asian game designer. He created a tabletop roleplaying game called CONVICT-ION, which draws inspiration from Life is Strange, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Persona, and the philosophical concepts of Judith Butler and Michel Foucault. In this game, GENDER is portrayed as a superpower arising from the conflict between societal expectations and an individual’s identity.
Jay Dragon is the co-founder and editorial director of Possum Creek Games, best known for their acclaimed works, including Wanderhome and Sleepaway. M Veselak is the talented writer behind the award-winning tabletop RPG Wickedness. Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast is a highly praised tabletop RPG centred around an interdimensional bed and breakfast created by a diverse team of predominantly trans and queer creators. The story features a trans woman and a nonbinary child as its main characters. It explores themes of queer interconnection, intergenerational growth, and how generations of queer individuals support one another.
Kay Marlow Allen is a genderqueer game designer, poet, and publisher. Their game, Nectar, is a solo journaling tabletop role-playing game that utilizes the Second Guess System developed by William Lentz. Through this game, they aim to provide nonbinary and trans players with a sense of recognition and understanding while also allowing cisgender players to explore the challenges and victories of being nonbinary, trans, or genderqueer.
