A new teaser promo for Joker: Folie à Deux was released today, ahead of the full trailer being released for 6:30pm PT – which sadly means we’ll already be in bed, sorry folks – and it shows Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck laughing maniacally to himself.
And, well, I think it’s great, although the first thing that came to mind was the lyrics of ‘someone left the cake out in the rain. I don’t think that I can take it, ’cause it took so long to bake it, and I’ll never have that recipe again. Oh no!’
In this jukebox musical, we’re also looking forward to seeing Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, with Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Brendan Gleeson who will be playing unknown-as-yet characters.
