Just as promised, the animated short film The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story was released by Sony Pictures today – and you can watch it right here!
The seven-minute animated short was made in collaboration with the Kevin Love Fund in order to help promote mental health awareness, and is part of a new mental health-focused lesson plan entitled The Hero Within.
This very cleverly made short is the story of “what happens when Miles Morales (once again played by Shameik Moore) starts to feel the pressure of his life as Spider-Man, which results in a scary, trippy little jaunt through his subconscious.”
Despite having its nightmarish aspects, it’s also quite a sweet watch. Check it out below:
I really enjoyed this short, and it gives us a little Spider-Verse fix whilst also being for a good cause – win-win!
