Out of seemingly nowhere, we have a trailer for Boy Kills World. And – oh, my – this looks absolutely barking! It stars Bill Skarsgard (IT) as Boy, a deaf mute with the inner voice of a videogame commentator, seeking revenge for the murder of his family. And that revenge seems to involve a lot of daft costumes, over the top violence, and breakfast cereal.
In this trailer we are introduced to Hilda Van Der Koy, played by Famke Janssen (The X-Men franchise), who is controlling society through nefarious means and a very Hunger Games-esque competition called ‘The Culling’. Which is sponsored, of course, by cereal manufacturers.
Honestly, if the plot is as wafer-thin as that description seems to be indicating, it probably won’t matter. The trailer also shows Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) so the cast alone are well worth showing up for.
And we won’t have to wait long, as the release is just around the corner. Boy Kills World is expected April 26th, 2024
