Dinosaurs was such a great ’90s show, but with a dark ending. Now Secret Galaxy have released a video taking a look back at the show, its origins, and the deep messages it included – as well as the biggest one. The one that, looking back now in 2023, means we’re all basically f*****.
I used to watch Dinosaurs as a child, but I didn’t want every episode, I didn’t pay attention to the messages, and I didn’t see the finale (but heard about it in the past few years). I just loved dinosaurs, and I found it funny. So, I’m finding this video particularly interesting.
Dinosaurs was actually a bit of a game changer, and there was nothing else like it at the time it was released.
The series explored topics such as trans rights, drug/substance abuse, gender roles, sexual harassments, LGBTQIA, indigenous people’s rights, and environmental issues – including our failure to take responsibility and act on it. In the end, it leads to mass extinction, and a very sad finale indeed.
That’ll likely be us soon. Ouch.

Watching this has really made me want to revisit this series and appreciate it now I’m older.
