Cries of the Overworld for the Forgotten Ballad TTRPG is a short-run Kickstarter, already significantly over funding goal, from Fillepe Da Silva and coolwayink for a Creature Guide for Forgotten Ballad.
Forgotten Ballad, by coolwayink, is a minimalist TTRPG inspired by The Legend of Zelda and OSR. There’s les than two weeks to join Cries of the Overworld.
Forgotten Ballad uses only d6s, and the game is centred around PC equipment. As pitched, Cries of the Overland is a book of new and old monsters to expand the game and put the whole range of creatures into the same format.
Cries of the Overland is all multi-format: PDF, zine, hardcover and even monster decks.
For this campaign, Bloat Games and coolwayink have teamed up with beyond cataclysm books! Bloat Games will handle delivery of ALL digital files, and physical reward fulfillment for US Backers, while beyond cataclysm books will handle physical reward fulfillment for International Backers.
Backers at the $9 are the first to qualify for a reward, and that’s the Cries of the Overworld PDF. At this tier, optional add-ons are also available.
The zine and PDF are the rewards at the $19 tier, with more add-ons becoming available.
$39 swaps the zine for the impressive hardcover. However, that’s expensive to ship, so Bloat Games offers a DriveThruRPG alternative for print-on-demand.
Higher tiers offer multiples, starting with the $74 for two copies of the zine, hardback, PDF and the creature deck.
The top tier, $225, gets various Forgotten Ballad books and zines and the Cries of the Overworld editions.
The campaign is due to close on November 29th, as it’s a short-run one, and the estimated delivery is May 2024.
