Modiphius publishes the official Star Trek tabletop RPG and in April, confirmed they had secured the rights to extend to Lower Decks.
Lower Decks is Paramount+ / Amazon Prime’s comedy animation set in the Star Trek Universe.
When news of the Lower Decks TTRPG broke, the publisher quickly gained best-seller status at DrivethruRPG for the accompanying mission Lurkers and the Season 1 Crew Pack. Pre-orders for the Campaign Setting, which will have the new rules, are open now.
There’s now a new and free supplement for Lower Decks. Modiphius have supported Star Trek Adventures with free adventures in the Missions Brief series. Briefs 011: Lower Decks is written by Michael Dismuke, and CBS contributed art.
Fans are reacting well to the new addition, with the freebie rated 5/5 on DriveThruRPG. The blurb says;
Ah! Junior officers! Some people might look down on these upstart crewmembers who are so often given the grunt work to perform. But all jobs are essential on a starship and all crew members are valuable. While senior officers might get the spotlight, there is a universe of action for lower deckers. Prepare to get your hands dirty as you take on the menial and transform it into the memorable!
The PDF is 16 pages long and has ten different ten missions set in the Starfleet lower decks. You can also use these missions in your current Star Trek Adventures game, with some minor modifications, if you’re not in a Lower Decks era.
