London can be a terrible, unique and exciting place. Two shows that continue into 2023 are Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the Saw: The Experience.
Both are trips to London, attracting visitors from the breadth of the country, tourists, and plenty of Londoners.
Harry Potter versus Saw is a dramatic contrast of theatre choice and short break destination. It’s hard to imagine two more different shows. Is there an overlap in audiences? You bet.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Harry, Ron, and Hermione are returning on a most extraordinary new adventure, this time joined by a daring new generation that has only recently arrived at the famed Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prepare yourself for dazzling spells, a mind-boggling sprint across time, and an epic battle to stop strange forces, all while the future is at stake.
It’s the 8th official Harry Potter story but is being told at a time when J.K. Rowling’s upsetting views are turning fans away. Despite the creator’s opinions, Harry Potter remains an essential part of many people’s childhoods, and this West End show fills up.
Saw: The Experience trailer
Harry Potter lets you sit and watch; as you can imagine, Saw is not so kind!
The interactive experience is a mix of theatre with escape rooms. If you pick Saw as your reason to visit London, your moral choices will be examined, and your mettle tested.
