Do you prefer to use a single solution for your video chat and virtual tabletop? If so, then you’ve a new candidate to consider as Astral TableTop has today announced video chat support.
The request has been a popular one, and Astral said;
So if we were going to do Video Chat – well, we were going to do it right, instead of offering you the same cheap peer-to-peer connections used by others, which can lead to poor call quality.
The virtual tabletop, which is partnered with OneBookShelf’s DriveThruRPG and the two are integrating their marketplaces, built their video solution from the ground up.
Astral video chat is only available if the Game Master is a Gold ($10 a month) or Platinum member.
Customers are benefiting from a heated virtual tabletop market. Challenger Foundry has won fans and offers a subscription-free service while free-for-life and open-source Mythic Table completed a Kickstarter that will bring API functionality that allows it to integrate with campaign management sites and others.
