Monkstone Miniatures made their debut this week, and social media likes what they see.
The new British fantasy miniature maker’s first range of models brings the dark folklore of Dunnmere to life. Here goblin kings set on rotting thrones and boggarts move in swarms, but greater danger crawls beneath the earth.
Glomm the Collector
Gorgrot – Boar Mercenary
Rollo the Masterful – Spriggan Adventurer
You can buy these minis, and others, from Monkstone’s shop. Sadly for me, they don’t come painted or assembled. That’s perfect for collectors and painters, though.
Founder, Jack Good credits The Dark Crystal, Willow and Krull as inspiration. He notes;
My plan is to slowly develop my own fantasy setting by creating highly detailed 28mm scale miniatures and games that allow you to explore it for yourselves. The figures will be built to scale to be usable in games like Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons, but will explore a dark and mysterious world heavily inspired by English folklore, and the many games and films that sparked my interests as a kid.
