Wizards of the Coast have favoured the RPG team at the Escapist with an exclusive look at D&D 5e. They’re showing off the table of contents from the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons as well as two pages of the Sorcerer Class.
The full list of races are;
- Dwarf
- Elf
- Halfling
- Human
- Dragonborn
- Gnome
- Half-Elf
- Half-Orc
- Tiefling
And classes;
- Barbarian
- Bard
- Cleric
- Druid
- Fighter
- Monk
- Paladin
- Ranger
- Rogue
- Sorcerer
- Warlock
- Wizard
Interesting to see so many classes up front. I think it makes sense. It’s always been awkward having later books introduce new classes. It makes it hard for DM to plan ahead and gives players reason to want to jump character.
I also like the content of the adventuring chapter (before combat!) which includes
- Time
- Movement
- The Enviorment
- Social Interaction
- Resting
- Between Adventures

Basically even with “unlimited” use of slightly more (not everything though) things than the others, they couldn’t even come close in power. “Leaked” images of the first two pages show they’ve actually even been nerfed in the PHB, losing their 5th cantrip previously gained at 16th,… Read more »
