Random Monster Table CIC brings first public preview of DaunderMyth to Tabletop Scotland 2026

East Lothian social enterprise Random Monster Table CIC will host the first public preview of its cooperative roleplaying game, DaunderMyth, at Tabletop Scotland 2026.

Designed to build mental health resilience in young players, the game replaces strict mechanical penalties with a peer-supported “Your Emotional World” system and arrives in UK schools this November and December.

Founder and director Barry Martin developed the DaunderMyth rules over four years, initially testing a prototype built with sleeved Pokémon cards to build confidence among local primary school children. The project has since evolved into a clinically supported educational product, securing funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund and the Social Entrepreneurs Fund. Director John Sharp and advisor Jen Martin complete the core development team, bringing experience from The Prince’s Trust and Teapot Trust to the community interest company.

DaunderMyth tasks players with exploring enchanted forests and labyrinths to stop the spread of Corruption. Rather than traditional combat loss or player elimination, the game relies on dedicated tokens and cards to navigate emotional challenges safely.

80 cards, featuring specific Strife Cards
5 Dice Sets and 1 Combat Tracker

Convention attendees can find Random Monster Table at stand Q-10 on the Tabletop Scotland main hall floor. The booth sits in the central trade hall aisle, flanked by Red Dragon Craft at Q-09 and Fights & Fancy at Q-11, positioned directly opposite Trywin Games (R-10) and just steps away from the Playtest Zone, Townsfolk Glasgow, and the ad-hoc Blood on the Clocktower area.
