Ultramons Board Game Designed by 10-Year-Old Palash Bhasin Launches Retail Release Prodigy designer Palash Bhasin brings award-winning monster battler to tables via Eagle Fox Games.

A new contender in the creature-battling tabletop genre has arrived, and it comes from a surprisingly young mind. Eagle Fox Games has announced the wider release of Ultramons, a tactical board game designed by 10-year-old Palash Bhasin. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign and industry recognition, the game aims to bridge the gap between accessible family play and deep strategic mechanics.
While the “child prodigy” angle often attracts initial attention, Ultramons has reportedly secured its reputation through solid gameplay mechanics rather than novelty alone. The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2024, exceeding its goal by 33%, and has since picked up an award at the Chicago Toys & Games Fair.
The premise of Ultramons is familiar territory for fans of the genre: players act as summoners, wielding cards to bring mythical monsters onto a battlefield. However, the game emphasises spatial strategy. It is not enough to simply play a strong card; players must position their monsters on a grid and utilise special abilities to outmanoeuvre opponents.
Designed for 2 to 4 players aged 7 and up, the game is pitched as a “light strategy” experience. With a play time of approximately 30 minutes and a learning curve of just five minutes, it fits squarely into the “gateway game” category – titles that are easy enough for casual players but offer enough tactical depth to keep enthusiasts engaged.

Palash Bhasin, Creator of Ultramons, said in a statement,
Creating Ultramons has been an incredible journey. I wanted to build a game that’s fun, exciting, and brings people together. It’s amazing to see so many people backing this project and helping bring my dream to life!”
Eagle Fox Games, a family-owned publisher based in the Pacific Northwest, has highlighted the game’s production quality and art style as key selling points alongside Bhasin’s design. The release includes a variety of “Ultramons” – elemental creatures with distinct stats and abilities – allowing for replayability as players experiment with different team compositions.
For those interested in supporting indie development, Ultramons is available directly through the Ultramons website. While the game is currently a direct-market exclusive, fans of creature-collection mechanics can also find similar titles in the genre at retailers like Zatu Games.
