Bundle of Holding has launched a new collection of indie roleplaying games powered by the “Forged in the Dark” engine. The “Forged in the Dark 3” bundle offers a diverse array of standalone titles, ranging from teenage mecha pilots to food-crime investigators, all built on the chassis of John Harper’s influential Blades in the Dark.
This new offer is notable for including the original Blades in the Dark core rulebook in the starter tier, making it an excellent entry point for newcomers to the system. The deal runs for a limited time and is scheduled to end on Tuesday, December 23.
Forged in the Dark 3 Collection
The bundle is structured in two tiers, providing seven complete games.

Starter Collection – $9.95
For $9.95, customers receive three titles with a stated retail value of $50. This tier includes:
- Blades in the Dark
- A Family of Blades
- DISASTER/WING
Bonus Collection – Threshold Price
If customers pay more than the threshold price (approximately $20.09 at the time of writing), they also receive the “Bonus Collection,” which includes four additional complete games, adding $68 in retail value.
- CHEW: The RPG
- Synthicide: Sharpers in the Dark
- Neon Black
- Action Potential
The collection highlights how far the system has evolved beyond its heist roots. DISASTER/WING uses the stress mechanics to model teenage angst, while CHEW adapts the investigation rules for a bizarre world of cibopathic detectives. A Family of Blades zooms in on the “Crew” mechanic, making the relationships between the criminals as dangerous as the jobs themselves.
