The first teaser trailer for DCU‘s Supergirl has dropped, and it’s clear that what we’re looking at is a totally different animal from what we’re used to seeing. This feels different… fresh, fun and a little bit feral. And we like it.
We were told this movie was one to “Look Out” for, and seeing a preview of Milly Alcock‘s performance explains why. It’s easy to vibe with her character, Kara Zor-El, who seems a bit wild and chaotic, but full of heart and charm as we follow her on what’s been described as an interstellar journey with vengeance and justice at its core.
According to the official description:
When an unexpected and ruthless enemy threatens, Kara Zor-El is forced, against her will, to team up with an unlikely companion. Together, they embark on an epic cosmic journey where revenge and justice are at stake – and where Kara must confront her origins to find her own path as a hero.
We also get a glimpse of Jason Momoa storms in as Lobo, too. Check out the full trailer below (it’s just over two minutes, despite being called a ‘teaser’):
It feels very different to Superman, and that’s a good thing. It’s also very sweet seeing Kara and Krypto’s interactions.
And you’ll be able to watch Supergirl when it’s released in cinemas on 24th July 2026.
