Casio has announced a new collaboration with Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment to release a digital watch celebrating the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future. The new timepiece, model CA-500WEBF, is a nostalgic tribute based on the company’s classic calculator watch from the 1980s.

The design of the CA-500WEBF is packed with references to the iconic film. The watch face incorporates design elements inspired by the DeLorean Time Machine’s taillights and distinctive “OUTATIME” license plate. The buttons feature coloured accents that evoke the look of the time circuits, which Christopher Lloyd’s eccentric Doc Brown used to program a destination date.
Further details are included for dedicated fans of the sci-fi adventure. The stainless steel case back is engraved with an illustration of the flux capacitor, the crucial component that makes time travel possible. The buckle on the wristband also features the official Back to the Future logo.
Adding to the retro experience, the watch will be sold in special packaging designed to resemble a vintage videotape box, capturing the era of the film’s original release.

The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, became a cultural phenomenon and one of the most successful film trilogies ever made. It follows teenager Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, as he is accidentally sent back to 1955.
The Casio CA-500WEBF-1AJR is scheduled for release on October 21st, 2025, and will be priced at £115.00.
