A Pittsburgh-based flavour company has launched a new limited-edition range of syrups and sipping vinegars inspired by classic tabletop roleplaying classes.

The company, which goes by the full name The Pittsburgh Office of Uniquely Refreshing Nectars or Flavor POURN for short, has channelled the Fighter, Cleric, Mage, and Rogue archetypes into four distinct concoctions designed for cocktails and mocktails.
The new collection includes three syrups and one ‘shrub’, or sipping vinegar. The company describes the range as potions for adventurers:
- HP Boost: A restorative syrup for Fighters, described as having a round, bright, and slightly tart taste with herbal notes and gentle warmth.
- MP Boost: An ethereal syrup for Clerics that is floral, soothing, and herbal.
- Blood of My Enemies: A dark syrup for Mages with tart florals, deep autumnal notes, and a litany of ritual spices.
- Basilisk Venom: A sharp sipping vinegar for Rogues, combining ripe tomato and sweet basil with a sly, spicy finish.
The launch taps into a growing trend of geek-themed culinary projects, from official cookbooks for games like Dungeons & Dragons to countless fan-made recipe sites and cocktail guides.
Jason ‘The Real’ McKoy, founder and creative director of Flavor POURN, explained the inspiration behind the new range in a press release. He said,
I’m a nerd that grew up playing D&D, Rifts, and Pathfinder so any opportunity I get to merge interests – cocktails and tabletop role-playing games – I jump at it. Every bottle is like a potion: there’s a story behind it, it brings parties together, and it can change the course of your whole night.”
Alongside the launch, the company is running a competition exclusive to customers in the Pittsburgh area. One gaming group will win a fully catered tabletop session, with a mixologist creating custom drinks for the party using the new RPG-inspired range.
The TTRPG collection is available to buy from the company’s website, flavorpourn.com, and contest details are on their Quest for Cocktails page.
