Geeky retailer Forbidden Planet have some monster merch news that, I kaiju you not, could be perfect for Christmas.
The manufacturer brand “Forbidden Planet Originals” has an exclusive deal on a range of Godzilla goodies, and I think the headline piece is this Volcanic Hoodie.
This premium black pullover hoodie is a must-have for any fan of the legendary kaiju. The front features the iconic Japanese “Gojira” logo in a fiery, eye-catching gradient, making a bold and simple statement.
Turn around, and you’ll reveal the main event: a spectacular, full-colour graphic of Godzilla himself, roaring to life in a volcanic storm of fire and lightning. Based on incredible artwork by Matt Frank, as seen on the cover of Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors, this highly detailed design captures the immense power and fury of the titan.

There’s a curveball. I’m sure I called out last year’s Christmas sweater, and no one bought it for me. It’s back again! However, there’s only 1,000 made, and I predict it’ll sell out again. It’s another exclusive, but my favourite part of how Forbidden Planet are handling the return of the fugly sweater is by beginning the product description with “Roar!”.
