The Scottish convention Tabletop Scotland has been given official stewardship of a region within Dungeons & Dragons’ most famous campaign setting, the Forgotten Realms.
Through its new publishing arm, Polyhedral Adventures, the convention is now a D&D Adventurers League Premier Organiser. This status grants them exclusive rights, second only to D&D-owner Wizards of the Coast, to create official organised play content for the dragon-ruled territory of Murghôm.

This appointment makes Tabletop Scotland one of only a handful of such organisers in the world, placing it in an elite group responsible for shaping the canonical D&D universe. Previously, the programme was dominated by US-based organisations.
The Premier Organiser initiative allows communities outside of North America to develop their own distinct corners of the Forgotten Realms. The move sees Tabletop Scotland join US giants Baldman Games (who control the Moonshae Isles) and Gamehole Publishing (formerly responsible for the Border Kingdoms). Other recent international additions include Greasy Snitches in the Philippines, who are developing Evereska and Najara, and a newly announced Italian group whose territory is yet to be revealed.
David Wright of Tabletop Scotland is the lead developer for the new Polyhedral Adventures content, working with a team that includes event organisers Greg Foster and Bulb Donaldson.
Murghôm, the region now under their care, has been a relative blank canvas in D&D lore since the days of AD&D 2nd Edition. Its history is one of turmoil, having been conquered by its ‘Egyptian-analogue’ neighbour Mulhorand before being taken over by a council of powerful dragons known as the Dragon Princes. This provides a rich and largely unexplored setting for the new Scottish-led creative team.
Wright described the region, which has a real-world analogue in Eastern Turkey and the Caucasus, as being ruled by a council of powerful, lawful dragons from a floating mountain called the Dracowyr. This unique political landscape will be a central theme in the adventures produced by Polyhedral Adventures.
The publisher has already developed three adventures, which were playtested at this year’s UK Games Expo. The initial writing team consists of Colin Tweddle, Richard Green, and Ian Hawthorne.
The new adventures are:
- The Grand Bazaar of Skalnaedyr by Colin Tweddle: A series of four one-hour mini-adventures set in the nation’s capital.
- Trouble in Kobold Crown by Richard Green: The start of a new trilogy that introduces a new Dragon Prince and a rising threat to the balance of power in Murghôm.
- Sands of Talos by Ian Hawthorne: The group’s first ‘Epic’, a special multi-table adventure where teams work for different Dragon Princes to achieve a common goal.
Epics are a cornerstone of Adventurers League convention play, allowing for massive, interactive experiences. The ability to create official Epics is a privilege reserved for Premier Organisers, enabling Polyhedral Adventures to offer unique, large-scale events set in their new territory.
This development cements Tabletop Scotland’s position as the UK’s largest hub for D&D organised play, a title it has held since 2022 after UK Games Expo’s own D&D track did not return to its pre-pandemic scale.
