Starlux Games’ pitch is that some people spend hundreds of hours with our characters, and so the dice we should roll should also be in-theme. They’ve hit their crowdfunding goal in the opening hours.
They’re also offering an early supporter tier, which might help. There’s not just dice here but 5e sub-classes designed to go with them, and Geek Native has the Cosmic Sorcerer download to give you. First, though, let’s see the video pitch for Dice of Stars & Stone.
The dice themselves are engraved with numbers, Futhark runes and astrological symbols. There’s also a set of 6 “classic” polys from d4 up to d20.
Backers have a choice to make. Do you want your dice to be acrylic with rounded corners and therefore budget-friendly and durable, or will you go larger with resin, have crisp edges and a fancy liquid core?
The “Dice of Stars and Stone” also come with a quick-reference cloth mat, book-style storage cases (which double as dice trays), and the custom classes for each of the dice. These classes have aspects of the dice built into them – look-up tables based on the extra marks on the dice.
Those custom classes are;
- Shadowrune Rogue
- Starforged Fighter
- Cosmic Sorcerer
Cosmic Sorcerer
Thank you to Starlux Games for letting us show readers one of these subclasses. Importantly, please note these classes aren’t out officially yet, and changes may happen.

Tiers
I’m going to skip the early bird tiers because they’ll be gone in about a day. Kudos to you if you’re quick!
The first reward tier unlocks at $40 (about £30), and there are some geographic restrictions on where the dice go. At this tier, backers receive 12 special dice and six standard polyhedrals, all in acrylic. You pick later which style/class you want. The $40 tier also offers the cloth mat and collector’s case.
Backers who want the same deal in resin and with those cores must step up to $80.
There are higher tiers. If you want three sets of acrylic dice (one for each class, perhaps) then the $110 tier is for you. Want those in resin? Pledge at $180.

The campaign runs until August 27th, and delivery is expected in December this year. You’d be a brave geek if you place any bets on a Kickstarter reaching you in time to be a Christmas gift, though. If you can hand-wave away some days/weeks, then these shiny dice might be a candidate.
