Wizards of the Coast’s senior content marketing strategist, a familiar face to many Dungeons & Dragons fans, has left the company.
Todd Kenreck shared his news on X.
The short message thanked Chris Perkins, Jeremy Crawford and the whole D&D team. As it happens, both Perkins and Crawford left Wizards of the Coast a few weeks ago and today announced they had moved to Darrington Press.
Previously, Todd worked at Amazon and then later at Fandom for D&D Beyond before leaving the company just before Wizards of the Coast bought it. Less than a year later, he was working with Wizards of the Coast again as a contractor, working on video activation before joining the company full-time in March last year.
Todd is a writer too, and it is still easy to find his old articles in Forbes on D&D. One in particular, in which he talks to Chris Perkins about anxiety, comes to mind. On this topic, Todd was talking about mental health and tabletop gaming long before other mainstream media got there.
It was reported that Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford left the company on their terms, but we did have reports of layoffs in March as Wizards of the Coast seemed to admit, almost immediately, that their own attempt at a VTT, Sigil, had failed.
