Apple TV+ just dropped the first trailer for highly anticipated sci-fi comedy thriller series Murderbot, with Alexander Skarsgård playing an awkward security robot who’s ‘gone rogue’ and wants to find the meaning of life.
It’s a super fun trailer for the series based on the bestselling (and award-winning) book series by Martha Wells, The Murderbot Diaries.
The story focuses on “a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.”
