Snow is back on Kickstarter with the latest TTRPG edition of .dungeon.
The pitch video below is more mood than information and might leave you with the impression this is a retro-MMO if you only pay half attention. No, that’s the inspiration. .dungeon is a tabletop game with glitches and bipedal cats. It’s a short Kickstarter but is twice target, and you can still join in.
The original .dungeon is an award-winning game, but Snow is back with improvements. The text has been slightly reworked, there is art from Charlotte Laskowski, and a spiral-bound softcover is available.
.dungeon will have lore, world-building help, new rules, gear, and magic. This edition will have rules for building your hex map of a world, tables, encounters and monsters. It’ll be about 90 pages in total.
The inspiration behind the game includes the early days of World of Warcraft but also plenty of anime such as Sword Art Online and Log Horizon, as well as more modern RPGs such as Final Fantasy X-2.
You’ll delve glitchy, polygonal dungeons, come face to face with a cast of original and terrible creatures, and navigate the strange social situations that internet trolls and lonely gamers provide.

Fans of indie TTRPGs can support .dungeon by spreading the word and investing cash. At $15, backers get a .pdf of .dungeon and the questing booklet.
That spiral-bound softcover is the reward at $25; at $35, it’s signed by Snow.
Backers at $50 get the softcover and a Kickstarter exclusive of the quest booklet with additional material for the TTRPG. $60 gets .dungeon and the quest booklet signed.
There’s a group bundle with four copies and the exclusive booklet at $100, which is the top tier.
It’s a short-lived Kickstarter that runs only until the end of the month. However, that softback will be out by July if everything goes as planned.
Is it just me, or is the tagline “Leave your world behind” just a little sinister?
Correction: 22nd Jan 2025 – The original article referred to Snow using an old name still baked into their Kickstarter profile and Itch URL.
