It’s officially happening – it’s been confirmed that Catherine O’Hara of Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and Schitt’s Creek fame is joining the cast of The Last of Us season two!
Only last month we discovered that stars Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsay (Ellie) would be joined in season two by Kaitlyn Dever (No One Will Save You, Last Man Standing) as Abby, whilst Beef star Young Mazino as Jesse, and Isabela Merced (Madame Web, Maya and the Three) would play Dina.
Now, during Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live – broadcast on Bravo – O’Hara (sitting next to Bryan Cranston at the time) was asked about rumours she may be joining the show, to which she replied with: “How do you know these things?” before adding a “yeah” as a confirmation.
It’s since been confirmed by HBOMax, and no-one is more excited than me! Catherine also shared the fact that her son’s a set dresser on the show. Check out the clip below:
As if I needed another reason to watch The Last of Us season 2! I’m just really curious about which character she’s going to play, and how big a role she’ll have. It’s (hopefully) going to be SO GOOD!
