The Dark Ages have ended. The world of Trystell is hurtling toward an era of gunpowder, printing presses, matchlock firearms, and political upheaval. Will you guide civilisation into a brave new era, or will you be crushed under the wheels of progress?
The Age of Ambition Bundle is now live on Bundle of Holding. This enormous offer presents the complete game line from Tab Creations, offering a tabletop RPG setting where medieval fantasy is rapidly evolving into the Early Modern era. Tinker gnomes craft clockwork devices, pirate queens build fleets with magnetic compasses, and heroes are not just monster hunters—they are inventors, agitators, spies, and civic leaders.

The Mechanics of Change
Age of Ambition is inspired by grim, dynamic fantasy fiction such as Joe Abercrombie’s First Law series, Scott Lynch’s Gentleman Bastard Sequence, and Brian McClellan’s Powder Mage trilogy.
The game uses Tab Creations’ card-based Saga Machine system. Instead of rolling dice, players flip cards from a standard poker deck to resolve actions and determine “consequences” (Fate-like conditions you can confer on other characters or suffer yourself). Drawing a Joker brings a dramatic critical failure.
Because the setting focuses on societal change, the rules extend far beyond standard combat. Age of Ambition includes robust lifepath character creation, and the expansions provided in this bundle offer deep systems for inventing magical devices, trading bulk goods, ruling domains, engaging in municipal politics, and leading armies in mass combat. You are just as likely to conquer your enemies with a printing press or a trade embargo as you are with a sword.
