The Artists
The trilogy highlights the work of three legendary but frequently overlooked illustrators whose visual language shaped modern fantasy.
- Kay Nielsen: A Danish illustrator whose dramatic linework eventually inspired Disney classics, featured here to provide Nordic-inspired adventures and royal intrigue.
- Edmund Dulac: A rival to Arthur Rackham and a specialist in colour, Dulac brings desert empires and the opulence of the Orient to the collection.
- Virginia Frances Sterrett: An American talent who tragically passed away at the age of thirty, leaving behind a potent portfolio of high-magic settings and fey characters.

Tabletop Utility
While the books serve as coffee table art collections, they are explicitly designed as interactive character guides for roleplaying games. Each spread places restored artwork on the left and a structured lore system on the right. This lore is broken down into five categories, offering a hook, backstory, motives, flavour items, and special abilities. Because the books are system-neutral, game masters can drop these forgotten queens, masked spirits, and wandering princes directly into campaigns without needing to convert statistics.
The physical production of the books is also tailored for the tabletop. The manufacturer, Tigerprinting, is producing 6 by 9 inch volumes with Smyth-sewn binding, ensuring the heavy 157g coated art paper lays completely flat during a game session without breaking the spine.
