With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Agnieszka Polanowska has launched a timely Kickstarter campaign to ensure your tabletop characters can find love (or at least a nice spot for a picnic) in high resolution. The Romantic Date: RPG Battle Map Collection offers a suite of maps designed specifically for social scenes and romantic interludes.
The campaign has successfully funded, but late pledges are open for those who missed the deadline.
While most battle maps focus on dank dungeons or blood-soaked fields, this collection pivots to “Romantic Encounters.” The project offers 100 high-detail, square-format maps depicting serene gardens, elegant interiors, and atmospheric settings perfect for a bard’s seduction roll or a quiet moment between adventurers.
The creator, based in Lubin, Poland, has built a reputation for massive digital map packs, and this project is no exception. The maps are available in digital formats suitable for VTTs such as Roll20 and Foundry, as well as high-quality print versions.
The project smashed its modest funding goal, and Agnieszka has kept the pledge tiers simple and accessible:
- Pledge PLN 29 (approx. £6): The Romantic Encounter Pack. This tier offers a taste of the collection with 22 “Outdoor Garden” maps.
- Pledge PLN 66 (approx. £14): The Complete Romantic Date Collection. This unlocks all 100 maps from the project.
- Pledge PLN 290 (approx. £60): The Ultimate Battlemap Collection. A massive bundle including everything from this campaign, plus the creator’s back catalogue – over 20,740 maps in total.
The estimated delivery is February 2026, meaning backers should have these files just in time for their Valentine’s Day one-shots.
