Craft brewer Siren is launching a new beer to celebrate the upcoming sci-fi action film Predator: Badlands, which hits cinemas this November. The new India Pale Ale is a special edition of their flagship brew, titled Soundwave: First Hunt IPA.

Siren describes the new beer as a quest for “maximum hoppy flavour” that combines futuristic hop extracts with an “otherworldly tropical aroma”. The collaboration with 20th Century Studios ties into the release of the new movie, which is set to reinvigorate the iconic franchise. This marks another entry into the growing crossover market of geek culture and craft brewing.
Predator: Badlands takes the hunt to a remote planet in the future. The story follows a young Predator, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, who is an outcast from his clan. He finds an unexpected ally in a human, Thia, played by Elle Fanning, as they embark on a dangerous journey. The film is scheduled for a UK cinema release on November 7th.
The brewery, known for its creative and popular beers, is clearly excited about the partnership. Fans of the franchise and of Siren’s original Soundwave IPA can sign up on a waitlist to be notified when Soundwave: First Hunt IPA becomes available.
For those looking to explore more of what Siren has to offer, the brewery is also promoting its impressive annual Beer Advent Calendar, which has become a popular item for beer enthusiasts in the run-up to the festive season.
