Digital tabletop platform Demiplane has launched a free way to play the new Starfinder Second Edition, making the Free RPG Day adventure Battle for Nova Rush available on the Starfinder NEXUS.

The move provides a timely and accessible entry point for players curious about Paizo’s updated science-fantasy roleplaying game. Battle for Nova Rush is a short, first-level adventure that comes with four pre-generated iconic characters, including Chk Chk the mystic and Iseph the operative, allowing groups to dive straight into the action. In the scenario, players take on the roles of prisoners on a pirate ship who must seize their chance to escape when the infamous Corpse Fleet attacks the vessel.
This free adventure headlines a significant content update from Paizo and Demiplane, dubbed the “Paizo Party,” which sees numerous other digital products released for both Starfinder and Pathfinder. The digital platform now also features extensive new bundles, such as the Revenge of the Runelords collection for Pathfinder and the Invasion’s Edge bundle for Starfinder Society.
A major technical enhancement in this update is the expansion of interactive NPC and Creature Sheets. Following last month’s release of sheets for the NPC Core and Monster Core, Demiplane has now added digital sheets for a host of other sourcebooks. These include new releases like Guilt of the Grave World and Lord of the Trinity, as well as existing popular guides such as Lost Omens: Tian Xia World Guide. These sheets are designed to streamline game preparation and management for GMs.
For users of multiple platforms, the integration between Roll20 and Demiplane continues. Players can link their Demiplane accounts to Roll20 games, allowing them to import their Starfinder 2e characters directly into the virtual tabletop’s journal. The system also supports bringing Pathfinder 2e characters across into a Starfinder game, encouraging cross-system play.
Demiplane continues to offer its “Paizo Connect” feature, which allows users who purchase books on the NEXUS platform to receive the corresponding PDF for free from Paizo’s own store, and offers a discount for users who already own the PDFs. This integration is nice to note as Pazio is going through the challenge of upgrading their own webstore to BigCommerce, and at the (temporary) cost of some bundle deals.
