Rebellion, the publisher behind the venerable British comic 2000 AD, has partnered with memorabilia specialists 101 Collectibles to launch the first-ever pure silver coin for the franchise. The new collector’s item is shaped into the iconic badge of Judge Dredd, one of the most recognisable symbols in comics.

The limited-edition coin is struck from investment-grade silver, with a worldwide mintage of only 999 individually numbered pieces. This release is positioned as a high-end collectable for long-term fans of the Mega-City One lawman.
The reverse of the coin features the classic Judge Dredd badge design, complete with the eagle and name. The obverse side confirms its status as legal tender, a common feature for commemorative coins, and is engraved with its mintage details, metal purity, and dimensions. Each coin is supplied in packaging that includes a certificate of authenticity.
This new line of precious metal merchandise arrives as 2000 AD approaches a significant milestone. Brent Hindman, Founder of 101 Collectibles Ltd, explained the timing in a statement:
101 Collectibles is excited to partner with Rebellion to create 2000 AD precious metal collectibles. As a long-term comic reader, and collector, I am thrilled to be able to bring the much-loved characters and franchises from the pages of comics to my world of limited edition, investment grade silver. This release marks the first time that Judge Dredd has appeared on a legal tender coin, and we look forward to our programme building in 2026 and towards the 50th Anniversary of 2000 AD in 2027.”

First published in 1977, 2000 AD has become a cornerstone of the British comics scene, launching the careers of creators like Alan Grant, Garth Ennis, and Grant Morrison. Judge Dredd remains its most enduring character, having appeared in nearly every issue.
The Judge Dredd silver coin is available to order now from selected retailers, including the official Rebellion Shop, GR Reserve, Sideshow Collectibles, EMK.com, and Power Coin.
