Terry Herc Games has over 150 pages of cursed magic and dungeons across three different Mork Borg-compatible zines on Kickstarter. The collection is inspired by the metal singer Ronnie James Dio.
The campaign will run until September 25th, has already met its funding goal, and you can see how much heavy metal dungeon crawling is happening via the pitch page.
The Kickstarter is funding three full-colour zines, each with its own role in building the power-metal megadungeon. The first, the Voyager’s Handbook, is for players. It covers seven doomed character classes, twisted backstory options, and a new core stat called Stargaze that links characters to the tower’s strange energies. There’s also a unique magic system inspired by musical verses, with big effects and the chance for spells to go wrong in dramatic ways.
The Stargazer’s Guidebook is for the Games Master and gives you everything you need to run the adventure. It works with Mörk Borg or as its own system. Inside, you’ll find simple rules for dungeon crawling, an introductory dungeon to help groups start their climb up the ancient tower, and a levelling system that connects directly to the game’s themes of death and souls.
The adventure starts with Raiders of the Machine God’s Sanctum, a 56-page level in the huge megadungeon. Here, the tower is haunted by the Machine God Cyboros, a broken deity, and features over twenty detailed rooms. GMs get competing factions, powerful relics, and star-lit puzzles to challenge players as they begin their climb, setting up future parts of the series.
Stargazer Keep is an epic adventure path that breaks through the clouds and into the cosmos. These three zines are just the first riff in this ongoing heavy metal epic as we climb the tower together.
We have big plans for Stargazer Keep. After the success of this campaign, future campaigns will bring more sections of the megadungeon, each themed and playable as part of an ongoing campaign or a self-contained adventure. Your support will help us explore the cosmic heights of Stargazer Keep, one zine at a time!

Backers at CA$25 get the PDF copy of all three books: Voyager’s Handbook, Stargazer’s Guidebook, and Raiders of the Machine God’s Sanctum.
There’s an upgrade available for CA$35, which also includes PDF copies of the adventures Echoing Abyss and Black Swampy Water.
The mega bundle tier of this megadungeon unlocks at $50, which adds even more. In this case, those extras are PDF copies of Tavern Tales and a Fantasy Core bundle.
Tery Herc Games has their featured tier set at CA$55, which puts print and PDF together. At this level, backers get Voyager’s Handbook, Stargazer’s Guidebook, and Raiders of the Machine God’s Sanctum in PDF and print.
The higher tiers, the first of which is a jump up to CA$115, offers Stargazer’s Guidebook, Raiders of the Machine God’s Sanctum and three of Voyager’s Handbooks in print and PDF. Echoing Abyss and Black Swampy Water are also included. Then, at CA$140, the same deal plus Tavern Tales and a Fantasy Core in PDF bundle are layered on.
The estimated delivery date is February 2026, which, all of a sudden, no longer feels all that far away.
