The first trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash has dropped from director James Cameron, and it’s got us excited for the Na’vi’s next chapter – which looks intense.
We’ll be checking back in with Na’vi favourites Jake Sully, Neytiri, plus their family and allies who face a new threat: the Ash People. Who look a tad bit scary!
Here’s what Cameron previously said about the film when he spoke at D23:
You’ll see a lot more Pandora that you never saw before. It’s an insane adventure and a feast for the eyes, but it’s also got very high emotional stakes, more than ever before. We’re going into really challenging territory for all the characters you know and love.
Well, I like that sound of that. It’s hard to believe The Way of Water and Fire and Ash were originally written to be one film – and I’m glad Cameron realised the stories needed their own chapters as separate films. Check out the full trailer below:
Returning to their roles, we have Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco, Dileep Rao, Britain Dalton, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, and Bailey Bass.
The film will also introduce Oona Chaplin, Michelle Yeoh and David Thewlis as new characters.
And you’ll be able to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash in cinemas from 19th December.
