Competition: Adventuring Family – A Family Therapy Role Playing Game

This week, and running through August, as Geek Native’s team will be stretched thin with Gen Con and the Edinburgh (home) Festival seasons in full swing, we’ve a competition to win a softback copy of the game.

A big thank you to Nikolaos, Radu, and Elisavet for providing the prizes. We’re also trying a new competition widget as the old one has gone the way of the Dodo and cheap food.

How do you win? Answer the question in the widget, and you’ll be in the competition. Then you need to be the at-random winner. However, we have to restrict this competition to UK mail addresses only.

We sometimes need to pick up winners if the first winner won’t answer emails or turns out to be somewhere in the world that the Royal Mail struggles to send to.

What’s Adventuring Family?

• The game is designed for children aged four and older and can be adapted for those with certain social or emotional conditions.
• It was developed in consultation with a paediatric clinical psychologist to address social and emotional topics through play.
• The system enables the integration of educational subjects, including mathematics, history, and economics.
• Gameplay can be non-violent, focusing on imagination and creativity.
• It can be played with or without dice and includes various interactive elements.
• A guide with rules and tutorials is provided for the game master.
• The product includes illustrated materials and a pre-designed fantasy setting.
