Amazon suspend SimCity downloads, blaming EA

In an unusual twist Amazon have suspended downloads of SimCity and issued a warning about EA’s servers. In effect they’re saying; you could buy this from us but you’ll not be able to play it and then you’ll be angry at us. Instead, they’re making it clear the problem sits firmly with EA and their ability to cope with the traffic to their servers.

They say;

Many customers are having issues connecting to the “SimCity” servers. EA is actively working to resolve these issues, but at this time we do not know when the issue will be fixed. Please visit https://help.ea.com/en/simcity/simcity for more information.
