Apple TV has dropped the first teaser for Star City; the For All Mankind spinoff that’ll tell us the other side of the story, from the Soviet Union’s perspective.
That’s right; the powerful and addictive For All Mankind‘s alternate timeline formula will now be starting over on the OTHER SIDE of the space race – and we’re 100% here for it at Geek Native!
If you’ve watched the first series, you’ll probably remember the Soviets reached the Moon first; and now we’ll get to see what that looked like – and presumably what sacrifices were made – first hand.
I make no secret about giving this show the nickname of ‘stressful-death-in-space show’, and I’m sure this new spinoff will probably dish out another helping of more of the same (which I will watch, sometimes from behind a cushion).
I also particularly like the logline: “Where reaching for space meant risking everything on Earth.”

Making up the cast we have Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey, Adam Nagaitis, Alice Englert, Josef Davies, Solly McLeod, and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis.
I can easily see this being another massive hit for current fans of For All Mankind. And you’ll be able to watch Star City when it premieres on AppleTV+ on 29th May.
