Magnolia Pictures just dropped the latest trailer for Normal, starring Bob Odenkirk – and it looks like it’s going to be packed with action and gun-toting violence… with the occasional moose thrown in for good measure. It also looks like a whole lot of fun.
The cast also includes Lena Heady, Henry Winkler, Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Reena Jolly, Peter Shinkoda, and Jess McLeod.
According to the official description:
For Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a sordid secret is inadvertently exposed and Ulysses learns the town is anything but its namesake.
Suddenly everyone is trying to shoot the sheriff, even his own deputies, and our put-upon policeman must rely on his affable mettle and some motley crooks if he is to survive the night. (That’s all before the Yakuza show up).

As an Odenkirk fan, I’m pretty excited for this – it’s great to see the actor get these meaty action roles after Better Call Saul, so I’m living for it. Also, it’s nice to see Henry Winkler in a new role again.
And you’ll be able to watch Normal when it’s released in cinemas from 17th April.
