SDCC is a unique experience to meet people from all over the world who share your interests, but it’s even more special when you can enjoy the convention with a friend or loved one who shares your fascination. There’s no denying that cosplayers in groups usually have even more fun than those who attend alone. Here are some of the best group and couples cosplays from the 2025 San Diego Comic Con.
Anybody Want a Peanut?

Easily the most epic group of the convention was this Princess Bride crew. All they needed was a sick child to complain about excess kissing. Perhaps the most impressive part of this team was the fact that all eight friends were able to secure badges for the event.
Fun fact: you can get your very own ROUS costume on Amazon. It’s perfect not only for Princess Bride cosplay, but also for pulling pranks where your victim is left saying “you dirty rat!”
Simply Wicked

These drag performers were in a fairly large group to promote their upcoming performance. But with such stunningly detailed costumes, the performers were getting pulled in twenty directions for photos with wowed convention goers so it was nearly impossible to get a picture with them all together.
Anarchy in the MK (Mushroom Kingdom)

God save the Princess? I never thought I’d see the day when Peach got so edgy that she ditched Mario for Waluigi, but here we are. And while Daisy and Luigi stayed together, they took on a whole new wardrobe —though it seems Luigi kept his same cheerful disposition.
Toad of a Kind

Don’t worry, not all of Mario’s team has changed. Toad and Toadette looked as adorably kind and loving as ever.
Now I Wanna be Your Dog, or Rhino, or Leopard, or Monkey…

Speaking of cute couples, just look at the smiles on Beast Boy and Raven —cosplayed by Jelly Bean Cosplay and Decomposed Angel. While they may have adopted some punk style of their own, they kept their sweet personalities, unlike that troublesome Mushroom Kingdom crew.
Best Furr-ends Forever

These furries were having a great time milling around the convention floor together. Note that the gent on the right is part of the group —he had fuzzy paws and a tail, you just can’t see them here.
The Fantastic Four Three

There were a lot of cosplayers celebrating the release of the Fantastic Four, which came out the same weekend as the convention. This heroic family may have been missing The Thing, but they looked ready to kick butt regardless. Mr. Fantastic’s bendy arms were a great touch.
Where’s Jean, Bub?

There were more X-Men at the con than usual this year, thanks to the success of X-Men 97. But these cosplayers stood out in both the accuracy of their costumes and the fact that these two characters are always such frenemies. Hopefully, these two aren’t in love with the same woman in real life.
X-(Wo)men

The team may be called the X-Men, but what set the franchise apart was the number of incredibly powerful female characters. These two depicted some of the most badass characters in the series —with Daytay Cosplay doing a great gender swap of Storm’s costume from Marvel Rivals.
The Dan Da Dan Duo

Speaking of powerful characters, these two Dan Da Dan cosplayers may look unimposing, but you don’t want to mess with Seiko Ayase, even if she’s a grandmother, or Turbo Granny, even when she’s trapped in a lucky cat statue.
If you’re a sucker for big hair, you can snag Seiko’s style here, but if you’ve got a soft spot for soft pajamas, don’t miss out on this cozy lucky cat onesie that’s similar to the one seen here.
Going for Gold

When it comes to unlikely partnerships, it’s hard to beat the team from Blades of Glory. Their graceful moves and glamorous style were a welcome sight on the convention floor.
If you’re just dying to show off your own skating moves in their trademark unitards, don’t worry, the blue and gold costumes are both easy to find online.
Pretty Perfect

Yellow is said to be a color of happiness, and these two matching princesses surely brought smiles to the faces of countless children as they cruised the streets of Downtown San Diego.
Every Pirate’s Dream

Sailors are known to get lonely, which is why they may have called manatees mermaids. But this pirate seems to have struck the jackpot when he discovered this real (and beautiful) mermaid sitting in a giant clam.
Bonus: Party of One

Yes, this Ash may not technically be part of a group, but he has so many Pokémon companions that he hardly seems to be alone either. It just goes to show that if you can’t find a group to cosplay with at SDCC, you can always make one.
This guy really shows the powers of accessories, as a decent Ash costume may not be difficult to find online, having three fired-up feathery friends with you really amps up the cosplay.
