Brother Nash is a three-part supernatural comic book series from writer and artist Bridgit Connell.
The creator-owned series is described as American Gods meets Teen Wolf meets Hellboy. Nash is a trucker who can see ghosts, can sense evil, talk to spirits and who happens to be a werewolf.
After picking up a strange hichhiker heading to Tuscon, Nash and friends find themselves in a dangerous adventure. When the moon is rising and there’s violence around Nash struggles to keep his werewolf-self in control. There’s plenty of that in store.
Connell told press;
Brother Nash is about a mysterious trucker out West who gets lost in a supernatural adventure with his two friends, a bumbling sweetheart and fellow trucker named Ray, and a strong-willed ranch owner named Billie. On the road they encounter tricksters, motorcycle gangs, zombies, creepy ghost kids, high-speed chases, giant monsters, redneck shaman, witches… and find out that the lore behind astronomy is alive and roaming the earth.”
The first issue weighs in at 72-pages, about three times the usual size, and has an A cover by Sanford Greene (Power Man & Iron Fist). The B cover is drawn by Bridgit herself and coloured by Luis Gurrero. This release has been remastered from the original, self-published, editions.
I’m not really into comics, however, this one sounds interesting. I think my hubby would love it.
My sons have outgrown their comic-book phase but I believe this Brother Nash would be a good fit for my 11 year old nephew. He “inherited” my sons’ comic books so now he is always wanting some new ones to read. I will let my sister know about this so she can get it for her son.
I love reading comics and books in general . It’s like actually a scene playing in your mind while reading with all the sound effect written. Thanks for the article . I would love to read it.
Ahh we never had the comic book phase here, my eldest was more into football and our youngest aren’t interested yet. Im not sure they will be but my husband was!
I’ve never read comics but I love scrolling through looking at the pictures. Pictures tell stories
I remember loving comics when I was younger. They have grown in a certain genre over the years as the ones I used to buy have kinda disappeared. This is the first time I have heard of the Brother Nash series and I thought to myself as I read through the post that it would also make a good road fantasy horror(werewolf) movie.
The plot seems interesting to me. Probably too much going on but still interesting. The artwork can be improved a little bit in my opinion.
This looks like a fun and unique comment comic. The plot seems crazy and cool!
We love comics in our house, normally of the superhero variety, but I reckon werewolves would also be interesting.
