ODAM: Of Dreams and Magic is a Kickstarter for a new tabletop RPG that supports any setting. PCs are “Anima” – those with the ability to turn dreams into reality.
The mythic villian in the game is a force known as the Doubt. That feels appropriate for a Kickstarter campaign where the twin battles of Awareness and Doubt are the usual problem for RPG publishers.
ODAM offers up a two-part game system with the Over/Under die system and Competitive Advantage Points. If you’re tempted you can preview the gameplay rules via a free downlaod from ODAM Publishing or from the embed below.
At the time of writing the Of Dreams and Magic: A Modern Fantasy RPG has raised $2,625, needs $10,0000 and has 24 days to go.
A pledge of $15 unlocks the full colour PDF version of the game along with all digital stretch goals. $40 unlocks the softcover (or $65 outside the USA) and $70 (or $95 outside the USA) unlocks the hardcover. ODAM Publishing are going for the gold standard by offering soft and hardcovers for a new RPG but they’re clearly not a company who suffers from Doubt.

Of Dreams and Magic banned me from their Facebook page, making me unable to comment on their posts any further, in response to me pointing out this unethical practice.… Read more »

Dude, they’re parodies of banner ads that say things like “Personal Trainers hate him” and “This man used science to become fluent in any language in a week.” They are, I repeat, parodies. The product is a good product. Don’t make false claims about them just because you weren’t bright enough to figure out their ad campaign.
