Godzilla trailer layers on the plot

The latest Godzilla trailer might be considered a spoiler if you’ve really no idea about any of the original Godzilla lore. Geek Native readers probably don’t fit into that camp and probably have seen the earlier trailers for the 2014 film which hint at a lot of this.

There’s no surprise that this is the English language Asian trailer. It’s easier to be more open about the expected story to an audience who are already expecting it.

Whether this is Mothra or Muto is one thing. What we do see clearly here is that Godzilla is back into his usual role of monster battler and chaos bringer. The lesser of two evils? A force of nature? Either way; my desire to see the film have shot up.
